Job Description

The Utilization Coordinator is responsible for investigating and activating as many inactive cases as possible. The Utilization Coordinator facilitates the intake process for a client, 90 days after the initial referral is made. This includes entering enrollment forms, documenting case notes and interacting with families, care providers and RC staff. The position will require the Utilization Coordinator to go out in the field and review forms, retrieve documents and answer questions in order to ensure that all necessary documents are received to start services. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adhere to Premier’s Core Values

2. Answer and transfer calls on our multi-line phone system

3. Process enrollment forms

4. Follow up with regional centers, families, and care providers as needed to execute duties

5. Resolve enrollment issues or concerns

6. Follow up with inactive families referred within the previous 90 days

7. Run utilization reports weekly, monthly and as needed

8. Assist with payroll as needed

9. Assist with care provider compliance issues

10. Assists clients in the office and offsite with questions, inquiries, and paperwork

11. Prioritize tasks from supervisors and managers

12. Effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.

13. Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Some college or Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

2. Minimum of one year of payroll and/or customer service experience within the last four years

3. Excellent interpersonal skills; self-driven, motivated and results oriented

4. Strong analytical and judgment skills

6. Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Premier’s proprietary computer programs.

7. Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously; strong organizational skills

8. Dependable vehicle for field travel

9. Bilingual - Spanish
