JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Payroll Specialist provides support relating to weekly operations with regard to time cards and other documentation in order to assist the office in payroll processing.

PAYROLL SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verification of weekly timecards.
  • Review and analyze production reports.
  • Resolving payroll concerns with staff.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service with all interactions.
  • Weekly processing of payroll and billing 
  • Processing garnishments including reading letters and set up in Paychex. 
  • Receiving and opening mail; delivering documentation to appropriate department.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.


PAYROLL SPECIALIST  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Experience with garnishments required. 
  • Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft and Google Suite.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience demonstrating advanced knowledge of payroll complexities and systems.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Organized, flexible, attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to perform basic clerical functions (typing, filing, mail, etc.).
