Job Description

The Community Relations Specialist is an ambassador in community for Premier. The Community Relations Specialist must be knowledgeable of all services that each office provides and be constantly on the lookout for new opportunities. The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for developing relationships with key Regional Center staff and other community leaders and is required to be in the field most of the time setting meetings, running events, and attending conferences. The Community Relations Specialist also helps Premier stay informed of our overall performance and ensures that we are meeting our clients’ needs.

Job Requirements

COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Builds and retains strong relationships with Regional Center staff

  • Public Relations; creating, managing and promoting Premier with the goal of enriching the company’s position, brand, and client loyalty.

  • Formulate strategic marketing initiatives to increase brand recognition and equity within region.

  • Plan and produce informational material for In-Services, Expo’s, and Resource Fairs; Present educational In-Services for Regional Center, SNFs, and other Case Management Staff.

  • Attend workshops, expositions, conferences and marketing meetings as needed and/or required

  • Act as liaison to internal and external organizations.

  • Plan marketing strategies to promote community involvement in events.

  • Participate in community rallies and walks.



COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS:



  • Some college or Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred

  • Caring, positive, and empathetic attitude

  • Experience with the CA Regional Center System

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Desire to serve the intellectually and developmentally disabled population

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; self-driven, motivated and results oriented

  • Strong analytical and judgment skills

  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Premier’s proprietary computer programs

  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Ability to travel within assigned geographic region/area to attend events and visit regional centers

  • Occasional travel to off-site company sponsored meetings, events and other conferences or meetings as needed
